About Me
“What shapes our responses and choices in difficult moments?” is a question that characterises my deep interest in understanding human nature. This curiosity motivated me to pursue a career where I can assist others to understand themselves and overcome their challenges. I believe we each have a profound knowledge of ourselves, though we commonly feel stuck or lost even with that self-awareness. In difficult times, it can be hard to see beyond the immediate obstacles. However, as the saying goes, “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” My role as your therapist is to help you uncover these opportunities for growth and change, through an empathetic and supportive approach.
My clinical experience includes counselling in private therapy and vocational training centres. I have supported a diverse range of clients, from teenagers navigating the complexities of adolescence to senior adults facing the unique challenges of midlife and beyond. I have also conducted group sessions in an orphanage, old folks’ home, and a refugee school, providing emotional support as well as psychoeducation. General wellbeing, ageing healthily, and emotional management are among the growing list of topics I have spoken about thus far.
My therapy modality is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), a proven approach where we work together to identify, then change unhelpful thought patterns to healthier ones. Depending on your needs and goals, I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), working with you to create a rich and meaningful life by navigating life’s inevitable challenges with mindful living and committed action guided by personal values, all at a pace that is comfortable for you.
I understand that starting therapy, and needing to discuss personal challenges can be scary. I am committed to creating a space that is safe, caring, and non-judgmental. Whenever you’re ready to embark on this journey, I’ll be here to support you through the initial discomfort and guide you towards clarity, growth, and fulfilment. I’ll be here with you every step of the way.
