About Me

During my time working in Human Resources, I often had to listen to difficulties that employees faced at work or in their personal life. It was my duty to assist them in resolving their issues. I quickly realised that everyone has, in some shape or form, distinct struggles in their lives. When ignored, these issues can spread and negatively affect other parts of our lives such as career, relationships, and even our outlook on the future. Therefore, this motivated me to channel my energy into assisting people in improving their lives, by being a mental health therapist.

In my experience counselling young professionals in various corporate settings, I discovered that many people feel unfulfilled with their lives. I’d often hear my clients say, “I’m unhappy, but I don’t even know what I’m unhappy about...which makes solving the problem even harder”. I became more motivated to share my knowledge and experience with as many people as possible, so that we can all be the best version of ourselves. This led me to have experience conducting workshops on topics such as stress reduction, understanding depression, self-identity exploration, as well as personality traits.

My theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I believe that replacing the unhelpful thoughts we have with rational, healthy ones are key to living our best life. I also borrow elements from Choice Theory/ Reality Therapy sparingly. I enjoy using stories, analogies, and quotes to help clients better understand concepts and therapeutic techniques in sessions. I typically describe myself as easygoing, honest, and curious. As your therapist,  I aspire to blend all the traits described with a hefty helping of empathy, acceptance, and insight to assist you in reaching your goals.

If you’re looking for help, I’d be honoured to support in any way I can.

Experience and education that has prepared me to work with a number of issues, including:

  • Existential Crises/ Issues relating to meaning of life

  • Grief and bereavement

  • Addiction

  • Stress and burnout

  • Loneliness

  • Career-related issues
