How Our Assessment Process Works
1. Clinical Interview
2. Assessment
3. Briefing & Report
An initial consultation to understand your experiences, address your concerns, and to design a customised assessment plan.
We use a carefully selected set of standardised psychological tools to gather precise, objective insights into your mental health.
A dedicated session where we review your results, provide any reports, and discuss personalised recommendations for your ongoing care.
01
Clinical Interview
Your assessment journey begins with an in-depth clinical interview. This dedicated time allows your psychologist to understand the full picture of what you are experiencing.
During this session, your psychologist will explore areas such as:
-
Your current challenges and how they impact your day-to-day life;
-
Your personal background, including your formative years and physical health;
-
Important context regarding your family, social relationships, education, and career.
By the end of the interview, you and your psychologist will outline clear next steps together - whether that involves moving forward with a structured assessment or transitioning into therapy. There is no pressure to make an immediate decision. Our goal is to empower you with all the information you need to make a fully informed decision on whether to proceed with the assessment or explore alternative options. When you are ready to take that next step, we will help you coordinate accordingly.
The clinical intake is RM210 for a 75-minute session. Because we want to ensure you have ample space to share comfortably without ever feeling rushed, these interviews can sometimes take up to 90 minutes. If your session does extend beyond the initial 75 minutes, the final fee will be pro-rated.
02
Assessment
If a formal evaluation is recommended at the end of your interview, your psychologist will clearly outline the following information:
-
Understanding of Tools: We will explain the specific standardised questionnaires and tests selected for your unique profile and how they will help us gather the necessary insights.
-
Transparent Costs: Because the selection of assessment tools is tailored to your specific needs, the total cost will depend on the type and/or number of tests required. A battery of tests with a comprehensive report can cost more than RM1,500 depending on what is assessed and needed. You will receive the evaluation plan and exact cost on the selected assessments by the end of your interview.
If you decide to proceed with the formal evaluation, you and your psychologist will coordinate a schedule for the assessments to be carried out, which is typically over the course of one or two sessions.
03
Briefing & Report
Within three weeks of completing your assessment, your psychologist will sit down with you for a dedicated briefing session to ensure you fully understand your results.
-
Reviewing the Results: Your psychologist will walk you through the findings in plain, accessible language. This is a collaborative space, making it the perfect time to ask questions and clarify any details.
-
Your Written Report: Based on the assessments taken, you will receive a comprehensive copy of your psychological report, containing key clinical insights and diagnostic information for your personal records.
-
Actionable Next Steps: We won’t just review your results or hand you a report and send you on your way. We will provide tailored recommendations and discuss all available options for your ongoing support and care.
Let’s work together to find the clarity you need.
